All OpenLab CDS software versions need a valid license file (.lic) to work. When purchasing new software, together with the software disks or USB drive, there will be a purple envelope that contains stickers with the Authorisation Code for your software. This authorisation code gets registered under an account on Agilent Subscribenet and a license is then issued which is specific to the computer name and mac address on which the software is loaded.

You will have to update your license file when: Updating the software or hardware enablements of your license, changing your computer name or MAC address (e.g. by changing the network card) or installing the OpenLab software on a new computer.

Chemetrix can assist in returning the old license on Subscribenet and will need you to send us the PC name and MAC address of the new computer (or in cases where these have been changed). We will then send you the new license file which can be added to the CDS software, and the old license removed (if applicable).
